It was over two years ago since the release of Candi's brilliant early years best of on the Honest Jon's label. This compilation showcased what a classic and stylish singer Candi really was, bringer her to a new audience of soul/funk and country fans. 'His Hands' is a very Southern soul-flavored new album from this legendary singer recorded in Nashville last year. The album was produced by Mark Nevers (Lambchop). Will Oldham wrote the title track 'His Hands' for Candi. Southern soul player Barry Beckett who has worked with Aretha Franklin and Bobby Womack is the musical director for this set and Candi wrote half of this excellent album.
